Most of my photographs in the galleries
or in publications are available as prints. If you have
special requests, visit the stock list and contact me with
a description of what you need.
Though I continue to shoot film, I have moved
away from traditional printing methods to more satisfactory
digital processes. The traditional "Type-R"
process of projecting a slide onto paper and developing chemically
often resulted in harsh contrasts and decreased saturation
and sharpness. Digital methods involve drum-scanning
transparencies into computers, where the image can be tweaked
to capture the color and sharpness of the original slide,
and scratches or dirt can be repaired. The file is then
printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive paper with a Chromira printer,
giving a far superior finished result that lasts twice as
long as Type-R prints (an estimated 70 years). I'm currently
using The Slideprinter
in Denver, Colorado, for all scanning and printing work (as
well as developing raw film).
If you would like to purchase a print, please
note that at this time I cannot accept orders by credit card.
Instead, just email,
call, or write,
letting me know:
1) Which photograph you want -- if choosing from the
on-line galleries, you may identify the photograph by its

If choosing from a publication, provide a description
of the image with the name and date of the publication, along
with the page number on which the image appears.
2) The size of print you would like (see below).
3) Your matting and framing preferences (see below).
You may pay with check or money order after I notify
you of the final cost, which will include postage and tax
(if applicable).

PRINT SIZES -- Since the 35mm format produces an image
with 2x3 proportions, we only offer prints that keep the 2x3 ratio (i.e.,
8x12 instead of 8x10, 11x16 instead of 11x14, etc.). This avoids
cropping any of the original image area.
PRINT ONLY means you receive the original print plain
and unmounted, allowing you to supply your own mat and frame to suit your
own tastes and decor. Prints are matte (not glossy) to reduce
fingerprints from handling.
PRINT + MAT + FRAME means your photograph comes ready
to hang, with a wooden frame and signed single mat. (Please add 20%
to request double mats.) This is the
easiest way to get a finished piece on your wall.
Please be aware that the colors and contrasts of a
print may differ slightly from the same photograph's appearance on your
computer screen, or in a 4- or 6-color magazine reproduction. TOP
